Slices of Life – #HappyBirthdaySeohyun

Birthdays are meaningful celebrations that many of us take for granted. They are a lot more than just a day where we receive gifts or hear praises. They mark a milestone in a person’s life, acknowledging the fact that we have lived another year, hopefully having achieved greater things.


Yet Birthdays also serve another important function. They separate one year from the next, allowing us to capture our lives into tiny slices that come together to create a greater whole – our life as individuals. When you think back on your last year, you remember who you met, what you did, the memories that defined that particular slice.


For the last five years, SONEs have watched Seohyun grow before our eyes. We have witnessed five slices of her life. Today on her 22nd Birthday, it seems appropriate to look back on these five years and to see how far our maknae has come.

i know what you are all thinking when you see the word ‘Baseball’ lolololololol. On June 15th there was a baseball match between Samsung Lions and Doosan Bears at Seoul’s Jamsil Baseball Stadium. Spotted in the audience, our Yoona attended the match and as expected, she chomms away on delicious food (…IS THAT KFC I SEE?? GOOBNE IS BETRAYED). I wonder what her reaction would have been like if she attended Sica’s match…LOL

GIRLS’ GENERATION AND SUPER JUNIOR ROBOTS TO BE PRODUCED

Dongbu Group, a conglomerate, will be releasing robots that look like and dance like K-pop idols, such as Girls’ Generation and Super Junior, via one of their divisions, Dongbu Robots.




On June 25th, Dongbu Robots, Intelligent Recreational (IR) Robots, and Ocean Bridge E&T came together for a project titled ‘K-pop Star Robots’. Through this project, the collaborating companies are scheduled to launch a series of dancing K-pop robots by the end of this year.

GIRLS’ GENERATION TAETISEO’S UNEDITED PHOTO GARNERS ATTENTION

Girls’ Generation’s first sub-unit TaeTiSeo has ended official promotions but members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun remain in the limelight. The ladies are currently in the news for a newly released unedited photo of them in a shoot.
For the pictorial, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun donned shirts in different colors and shorts, showing off their long, slender legs. The photo was taken behind-the-scenes and is not yet edited for the final printing of the magazine.

GIRLS’ GENERATION WINS ‘BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR’ AWARD IN MTV VMAJ 2012!

In the recently unveiled list of winners for the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2012 (MTV VMAJ 2012), Girls’ Generation, also known as Shoujo Jidai in Japan, won the ‘Best Album of the Year’ award for their first Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation’ among big name nominees Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Juju and fellow K-pop girl group KARA.

TAEYEON EXPLAINS WHY SHE LAUGHS SO MUCH AT FART JOKES

Taeyeon explained why she laughs so much at jokes involving fart sounds. On June 20, all three TaeTiSeo members appeared on SBS “One Night of TV Entertainment” for a group interview session. TaeTiSeo members asked each other questions for the segment, and during Taeyeon’s turn, Seohyun asked, “Why do you always laugh so hard at fart jokes?”

Girls’ Generation‘s maknae Seohyun will attend the 2012 Yeosu Expo as a UN model.

SNSD’s Yuri gains more popularity among ajummas

SNSD’s Yuri recently talked about the difference that she felt after shooting a TV series.

Yuri gained more popularity among ajummas (usually means mothers or married women) after appearing on SBS’s Monday-Tuesday series Fashion King, which recently went off air.


Yuri said, “I appeared on a TV series for the first time and it was very difficult. It was hard for me to perform in the series but I also had fun while shooting.”


She added, “After appearing on the series, many married men and women recognize me more than before. They know that I appeared on the series when they see me on streets and at restaurants. I realized how powerful the series is.”


She also talked about her future plan. “I want to keep performing in the TV dramas in the future. I want to keep challenging as an actress.”


Yuri, Jessica, Sooyoung, and Seohyun recently shot a pictorial for the magazine @Star1.
